Robin has already done a great of job of Reviewing Rambo and so my shorter review will simply serve a purpose to add a few of my thoughts about the movie without really going into too much detail about the synopsis and other elements that I usually like to include in my reviews.
I read somewhere that the body count in this film racks up more than all the other Rambos put together - whether that's true or not I don't know. But what I will say is that this is one of the most brutal films I've seen for a while and so if you go pale at the sight of blood or a few broken limbs here and there, then you had probably better stick to Pixar films or similar.
What the film lacks in a gripping storyline it makes up for in action and shocking moments that leave you wowing at the balls of the director. This is certainly one of those films that were designed to shock and to make a point.
As a finale, I don't think Stallone did as much justice to the Rambo series as he did to the Rocky series, however for the sake of completion and to round off an era in cinema history, I think most people should go out and buy this film on DVD. It won't by any means be a classic but it's a solid 7 out of 10 in my book.
